The 13th Annual 1% lunch was a huge success on the 27th August.

There was trepidation for the second consecutive year around the risks COVID posed. Thankfully, our record crowd of 312 were able to mingle and share stories while been entertained by our guest speaker David Boon MBE.

As a surprise for the room, we managed to showcase two recently returned Olympic Gold Medallists, swimmer Brianna Throssell and rower Annabelle McIntyre. Perth premier race caller, Darren McAullay hosted the day and finished the day with his famous phantom race call.

The main reason we get together is to raise much needed funds for our great recipients; Heart Kids WA, Nakuru Hope and Trailblazer. The generosity of the room was once again on display with an astonishing $70,000 raised in just 4-hours.

We are enormously grateful and extremely proud to have raised this amount and the result simply would not have happened without the generosity of our loyal supporters.

The bar has been raised and we’re thrilled to support the following beneficiaries:

HEART KIDS WA

Heart Kids WA TAG have been aligned with Heart Kids WA after witnessing first hand the unwavering support they provided a family that TAG had worked closely with for many years. Heart Kids aim to help children with Congenital Heart Disease - and their families - to lead the most fulfilling life possible and to reach their personal goals.

NAKURU HOPE KENYA

nakuru hope logo TAG have been aligned with the tremendous and unrelenting work that local Perth lady, Susan Saleeba has been doing for endangered and at risk kids in Nakuru Kenya. Her vision to protect, educate and house began in 2008. This lunch has provided a stable source of funding for over 5-years and we look forward to making a small contribution to the amazing work Susan does in Africa.
