Award-Winning Team: Thanks to the outstanding efforts of our team, we proudly emerged as winners in several categories at the MFAA Excellence Awards and the Connective Excellence Awards. These accolades are a testament to the dedication and expertise that our team has to ensuring our customers have a positive experience while working with TAG.
Record-Breaking Charity Luncheon: The 15th Annual 1% Charity Luncheon was a highlight, breaking records with 400 attendees and raising an impressive $101,692.
This year, the funds raised were donated to Nakuru Hope & HeartKids WA in supporting their efforts and making a tangible impact on the communities they support.
A Place to Live & Learn: Nakuru Hope’s; Gabriel Learning Centre and Orphanage is located 2kms from the main town of Nakuru in a slum area named Kaptembwa. A community of over 200,000 live in the most destitute conditions without food, clean drinking water or sanitation.
It is here that Nakuru Hope assists those lives that merely live on hope, through education, housing and medical help. By providing food, water, sanitation, education, medical assistance and refuge. Nakuru Hope’s Children Homes for girls and boys provide a safe family environment for those who have been orphaned and or abandoned.
Christopher Makokha, the School and Operations Manager at Gabriel Learning Centre and Orphanage, shared powerful words during the event, emphasizing the transformative impact our donations continue to make.
Sponsorship for Life: The generosity of our guests allowed us to secure 11 additional sponsorships for children in Nakuru's orphanage. Through these sponsorships, we're providing a lifeline—freeing children from human trafficking, abuse, and offering them a chance at a brighter future with education, a safe home, and essential resources.
Funds for New Technology, Research & Care: TAG have been aligned with HeartKids WA for many years, after witnessing first hand the unwavering support they provided a family that TAG had worked closely with for many years.
HeartKids is the only national not-for-profit organisation solely focused on supporting and advocating for all people impacted by childhood heart disease, one of the largest causes of infant death in Australia.
Clean Drinking Water: This years we have funded the donation of 13 Bio Sand Water Filters through The Trailblazer Foundation. The difference this makes to families in need in Cambodia is life saving. A country of approximately 15 million people, water-borne diseases are the greatest health threat with more than nine million cases of diarrheal disease annually. One of the easiest ways to combat these diseases is to provide access to clean water.
Support for the SAS Resources Fund: Shannon Whittington, Director of TAG Wealth Solutions, successfully nominated the SAS Resources Fund for an AFA Foundation Grant, providing much needed funds to families in need.
The SAS Resources Fund was established to assist current and former members of the Australian Defence Force, and their families, who suffer hardship because of their service with the Special Air Service Regiment. This assistance also extends to other members of the Australian Defence Force who are killed or disabled when participating in a Special Air Service Regiment controlled operation, exercise or activity.
